Žuvėjėlis
Puppetry play for children and their families
“Žuvėjėlis” is a fairy-tale play about nice persons and not so nice witches, about more or less chuckle-headed lakeside creatures living under the sun. About those who can’t resist and enters a trap after a tasty morsel. And also those lucky with a “happy ending”…
Expressive and warm puppets, a vivid performance, the transparent musical atmosphere of the play are a key to wisdom encoded in folktales about global paradoxes, vicissitude, dangers, and, naturally, humour. The author of this vivid, undemonstrative, subtle world of play, puppeteer Linas Zubė tenderly urges the audience to look deeper at the logic of characters’ actions, at the meaningful interconnection between cause and effect, between parents and children.
